The idea that it is necessary to go to a university in order to become a writer, or even a man or woman of letters (which is by no means the same thing), is one of those phantasies that surround authorship.

Digitizing Photos

Last night, I started digitizing a few photos. I think I'll spend a few minutes a day doing that with all of my old photos.

Here are a few:

This will keep these memories permanent for me.

In the last picture, on the right, is my Aunt Onie. The woman was like a second mother to me. It's easy to miss her.

Hi Beatcanvas,

I discovered you from Dr. Helen's post about office dating. I live in Utah and passed the Mortgage Lender exam about two months ago. I do not have any experience in the field, but would like to start as a Loan Processor. Do you have any suggestions? I've called several companies from the phone book, but haven't had any luck yet.

P.S. Interesting method for stopping spammers!

Hey Serket

My wife is pretty experienced in this stuff. She read your comment and is thinking of an appropriate answer for you, but it would help if we had your email address instead of doing this on the blog. Click on the "Me" link up above and email me. I'll let Tamara take it from there. She has about 18 years of experience in the mortgage industry and she's exceptional with people.

As for my trivia questions, it's a very bulletproof way to prevent spam. I don't understand why more don't try something like this... especially if the blogger can configure their own trivia.

Dude, one question. Do you still have that hat? Hehehe. :)

Hey - I loved that hat!

But actually, I miss the coat more.

The top photo of you (I'm assuming it's you) with the camera is wonderful. :)

Yep, that's me. Taken about a year after I left the band...
