If our military were failing miserably, that's one thing. But when there's progress, what the hell is the top senator in Congress doing making statements like that, other than coddling his base? It can only hurt our guys and strengthen the enemy. Calling Reid's remarks "outrageous" and "regrettable" is euphemistic; his comments are traitorously opportunistic. On the backs of our troops, such malice is horrific and worthy of disdain by every Amercian.
Dennis Miller had a few words for ol' Chicken Little. Hear, hear.
I think you need a new "tag" to go along with "harry reid," "iraq," and "politics." Call it the "jackass" tag. I caught this the other day over at hot air and gave Dennis a big cheer.
Reid is a good example of the instant gratification culture we now live in. His ignorance of the complexities of this battle are quite scary. If he doesn't see what will come from walking out of there he needs to go find a job running the local Pizza Hut.
Rush nailed it when he said the democratic party owns defeat. Sad, very sad when power is placed before the best interests of the country. Not that the republicans are much better. Thank God you haven't started a thread about the immigration shamnesty.
