I've been dissatisfied with my web site for a while now. Grumblings of this were evident a while back, and I spoke of a site redesign. A friend of mine told me that bullets are more powerful than prose, and by that she meant that I should speak in bullets, not paragraphs. That simple statement, said a year ago, got me thinking a great deal. Other events and statements by others have attached themselves to that to create a new life, so to speak. My new life. What I aim for is a succinct, well-designed model. Sometime later next week, I'll unveil the new web site and the content of my posts will change dramatically. |

Yeah - most likely. But as you know, sometimes, the more verbose I am as I work out my process before I'm ready to present, I can cause someone to mistake my point. Clarity is everything. I'm not nearly clear enough, I fear. |

Hmmm. Agreed, clarity is everything. And brevity is important, especially in this medium, which seems to thrive on ADHD. :-) I've been playing with the idea of doing a website of my own, but I sort of fear that nobody will have the attention span to read it (other than those who care about me--and even they may lose interest). Regardless, I have a great quote to share with everybody about writing. I saw 'Stranger Than Fiction' the other day---loved, loved, loved it! 'Like anything worth writing, it came inexplicably and without method.' |

That is so true. Process is messy. Presentation is important. I need to remember that my thin-lipped editor lady in my brain is not so important sometimes. Sometimes raw and childlike is best. Thank you, Bella :) |
