Random Quote Some writers confuse authenticity, which they ought always to aim at, with originality, which they should never bother about. -- W. H. Auden

The Business Card Presentation |
Imagine that you're at a trade show, and you want your business card to stand out of the crowd. How do you do that? I don't know that there is a way to do that today, frankly. I've not seen one. But how about this? Does that make it more memorable? |

I think if you were to present that at a trade show dealing with art/cards/etc, it would show off your art AND creativity, right away. First impressions go a long way. I used to attend CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Chicago and most of the time when business cards were exchanged they got a glance, at best. We used to go back to the hotel room at night and sort through them. A lot you didn't even remember getting. A LOT of cards exchange hands at those conventions. I think if someone presented me with the above card I'd remember getting it and who gave it to me. |

:) I registered connectionpack.com and it now points to the Connection Pack on the Art By Brett web site. Boo-ya! As I move these in front of folks, I'm finding some traction - much more so than my larger cards. I think I'll start meeting with companies with sales reps and doing as I did this morning with a local radio station: give them some freebies to give to their account executives to use and then come back for their feedback. I'm also checking into getting a half-moon die-cut into the back of the card to better hold a business card. Yessss! I'd like to sell 1,000 Connection Packs by the end of the year. That's 15,000 cards... let's see what I can do. |
