How Many Days Have You Been Alive? |
I've implemented a "Days Alive Calculator" in the "Things To Do" menu up above. Just type in your birthdate and click Calculate. Why did I do this? Because an average life is less than 30,000 days. Think of how much you do in a single day. Or how little. You don't get very many days... so make the most of every one. The calculator on the left is my invitation to not trivialize anything. Today is day #6,523 "An average life is less than 30,000 days" Makes you realize how screwed up the world is. I'm about a month and a half from turning 18, and my life is already about 1/5 over statistically. And the world expects you to go to college for at least 4 years to be guaranteed a "good life." You spend 1/3 of your life sleeping, and 1/4 of it in school, apparently being prepared for the "life" ahead of you. Kinda funny that you only really get the chance to live life to its fullest for 5/12 of it, if you go by statistics. Sorry for the pessimism, but it really is messed up when you consider it. |

19257 - - Whoo-Hoo - - and not stopping there. I am living my life the way I wish I had lived it when I was younger. It makes me quite sad when I see so many young people lamenting their age. Enjoy every day you have on this side of the ground......it's better than the alternative. |

It's so strange how my life has slipped by in 8600 pieces. I know it's not too late, but it's hard not to regret. I hope I get things figured out soon, before it is too late. |

I think this is making people feel young, if you put in yesterdays date then it says this is day 1, well surely if I was born yesterday then I lived that day and I'm living again today so this is day 2!? based on that I am a spritely 7828 days old but this is day 7829 for me I'm afraid people. |

I can calculate how many days I have been alive but where and how can I calculate how many days a person lived before dying? |

I remember first calculating how many days I'd been alive when I was just past 16, and found I was closing in on 6000 - all calculated by hand back then (1986)......did it again recently and found I was closing in on 14000. It's hard to believe that it's been more than half my life ago that I first did that. And with someone saying that the average life is 30,000, I guess I'm getting into middle age.......and I'm only 38!! |

Calculator does not include leap days. Shows my bday as 13 less than leapdays. Check it. |

You would be incorrect, Jerry. Checked against Microsoft Excel long ago, and uses a Microsoft function. So you can take it up with Bill, if you disagree. But just for fun - what's your birthday? |

Hi All you kids...I'm 15,406 days old, and still feel I have not lived long enough to do what I really love. ie. Music, Writing, loving, and flying planes. thanks to your site I can finish my class homework: so, 30,000 days is around 80 years.
- 15,406 days
= 14,594 days left to write stories and play guitar songs...meet my love...jump out of plane, go hang glide, learn to fly a plane, do what passion for life I deem helpful to others and live it out in the open. |
