Augusta Tea Party Express

I had the good fortune of being in Augusta, Georgia, when the Tea Party Express rolled through town. Here are some pictures I captured of these great Americans gathering and working to restore liberty to our country.

What a bunch of paranoid negativists. You call yourselves patriots? You're simply a pack of loud-mouthed cowards who school together and don't want to pay the price of living in this great country. Real patriots are enlisting, fighting, and dying in wars to keep your sorry rear-ends free. So go ahead and engage in shout outs and carry your crude anti-American signs. The America you don't know or understand will continue to see you as the sad and sorry lot you are! Entertaining though, I must say.

"Don't tread on me" was such an unpatriotic slogan of the Revolutionary War. The nerve of those guys - to not want to pay endless taxes to the king. They should have been so thankful.

P.S. Maybe I'll find redemption in my service in the Army during the 80's. But gosh - what have I done lately?

Matt, you think it is the tea party supporters who are anti-military, anti-american? Does the Boston Tea Party ring a bell?

Since you are such a scholar on history, what is the appropriate price to pay to live in this country? Whatever Obama-Reid-Pelosi think we should? Do you have even a basic understanding of economics?

Jackass is the perfect symbol for Democrats.

Oh by the way, I saw the best tea party sign on Michelle Malkin's website a week or so ago. It said "Ram it down out throats in 09, we'll shove it up your 'democratic jackass symbol' in 10!"

What a perfectly fitting slogan to rally the GOP's base of coarse misfits prone to violence, vulgarity, and sensation-seeking behavior. To all the teapartiers out there, I say carry on with your silly spectacle under the false pretense of patriotism! Go ahead--expropriate the symbols of our collective national history and distort their meaning to suit your seditious purposes. Brandish your crude placards and disgusting images! Engage in uncivil discourse and contrived acts of rebellion that expose the lunacy of your kind, i.e., the enemies within, the cancer on the state, the undignified blight on a formerly proud political tradition. What a bunch of nuts so easily manipulated by your great leaders, Rush, Glen, Michelle, Sarah, whose combined intellect could scarcely fill a thimble. Bye.

As someone who did go to war to keep ours and other countries free, maybe I have more room to talk.

I enlisted precisely to protect a certain set of ideals that power hungry Washington insiders are crapping all over. I swore to defend the constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC. That's why I'm still fighting here on the home front.

It's not about political parties, it's about practical outcomes. It's about the entrenched power in government placing itself ahead of the people.

As a patriot, I love my country. I cannot allow it to commit suicide like this.

That whole "Give me liberty or give me death" phrase. Wow - I get it now. Patrick Henry craved the liberty to pay more taxes and be more subservient to the king, just like Matt.

Yeah Matt, those pictures sure depict sensation seeking, vulgar misfits prone to violence. Once again a liberal can't defend the argument and is left to ranting and personal attacks.
