Google Hates Memorial Day

Like those cute little Google logos? For all of those special and forgotten holidays?

Once again, Google - an American company - hates on Memorial Day with the omission of a custom logo.

Someone else put out a request for what the Google logo might have become if the leftist owners of the company might have sought one. Were some submitted to Google? You betcha.

All the following logo designs were submitted to Google, which has never responded or even acknowledged receipt of the submission.
My favorite:

God bless all our veterans and their families. We have the freedoms we have because of the sacrifice of so many good people.

In Google's defense, after a public outcry they did do a logo for Veterans Day. It was little military helmets on the o's and e. Their arguement about not previously doing one for Veteran's day and Memorial Day is that the holidays are ones of reverence, and seemed too solemn for one of their goofy logo drawings. I can't really disagree with that. In all honesty, the gravestone idea seems in sort of poor taste, and I didn't really like the helmets. In my opinion, for what it's worth, these are holidays to be seriously observed rather than celebrated, and the Google logos are usually done with fun in mind. In fact, the idea of incorporating the brave souls who lost their lives for this country into a corporate logo unsettles me a bit.

On a side note...sometimes companies don't have a political agenda at all. We seem to politicize EVERYTHING.
