So I'm watching this debate over John McCain among the right, and while I think it's moot anyway because if he is the nominee, he'll go down in flames because he can't control his temper, I did see the one reason I might pull the lever for him in the comments thread of Rachel Lucas' site: I’m a FredHead, but with my brother having his boots on the ground, I’m more inclined to support McCain over either of them. I want someone who is going to help him do his job. For our guys in the military, I'd vote McCain. |

I've been thinking quite a bit about this week. I don't quite buy the "for our guys in the military" argument as it relates to troops on the ground in Iraq (I can see them pulling out, not denying them what they need - Reid/Pelosi pulled those stunts to try to change policy, not needed if their leader in office). I do buy it for maintaining strength of our military and overall policy. Between Iraq, a possible nuclear Iran and the continuing buildup of Red China, we can't afford 4 Carter type years to teach the country a lesson. We can't afford another repeat of the 8 Clinton years where our intelligence agencies and military were weakened considerably. What I initially saw as black and white has now turned grey. Sitting out, as much as I dislike McCain, may not be an option. I hope Tuesday is a good day for Mitt. |

With his win in Maine, and polls looking up, it might be a good Tuesday for Mitt! |
